This is a super easy shawl that any beginner can knit! It only has one row: *yo, k to end.
This technique produces a simple bottom-up triangular shawl that has a pretty, loopy edge. It can be knit with any weight yarn but you’ll need at least 200yds. As a rough estimate, 250-300gr of DK-weight yarn will give you a shawl that has a wingspan that matches an adults’.
If you don’t have enough yarn, why not experiment with what you have. You can make a nice kerchief or dishcloth! 🙂
You can cast off your shawl whenever you feel it’s large enough. To check, slide your stitches onto a long circular needle, or onto a piece of string. If you’re happy with the result, bind off using a needle 2-3 sizes larger than the one you used to knit with. Here’s a tutorial on binding off knitting: http://youtu.be/pXko7pfbHhc
